Develop
(v.): to start to have a skill, ability, quality, etc. that becomes better and stronger
e.g.
The man often watches some
handicraft (手工藝品) videos in his spare time because he is interested in
pottery (陶藝) making and he wants to
develop (發展) a skill.
Photography
(n.): the activity of taking photographs or filming
e.g.
Photography (攝影) and travelling around the world are his
passions (熱衷的事情). He wants to show people different local
conditions (環境) and
customs (風俗) through his
lens (鏡頭).
Instructor
(n.): a person whose job is to teach people a practical skill
e.g.
He was into
breakdancing (霹靂舞). Although his
instructor (導師) was tough, he always communicated with her with respect and an open mind.
Artistic
(adj.): connected with art or artists
e.g.
He is keen on going to
galleries (畫廊) to look at paintings. Once, he met a
viewer (觀賞者) at an art gallery, and in their conversation they found that they shared the same
artistic (藝術上的) views.
Block
(n.): something difficult to move on or progress
e.g.
In order to
overcome (克服) his creative
block (障礙) in music, he often goes to the mountains or the seaside these days and hopes to
draw inspiration (獲得靈感) from nature.
