Multimedia
(adj.): using a combination of moving and still pictures, sound, music, and words
e.g.
Many companies use
multimedia (多媒體的) technology to present their product
features (特色) for promotional purpose.
Search engine
(n.): a computer program that finds information on the internet by looking for words that you have typed in
e.g.
After users
enter (輸入) the questions they want to ask, the
search engine (搜索引擎) will
look up (查找) the relevant information and presents it to them.
Access
(v.): to open a computer file or use a computer system
e.g.
On some online learning platforms, users can only
access (讀取) the
web page (網頁) after entering a password so that their
accounts (賬戶) can be kept secure.
Coverage
(n.): the fact of dealing with or directing attention to something
e.g.
Nowadays, the
coverage (覆蓋範圍) of online videos is extensive. People can
absorb (了解) new information and
enhance (增進) their knowledge by watching videos in the
categories (類別) they are interested in.
Credibility
(n.): the fact that someone or something can be believed or trusted
e.g.
Users should choose to visit sites with high
credibility (可信度). Otherwise, their
devices (裝置) may be
vulnerable (易受攻擊的) to
malicious (惡意的) attacks.
Browse
(v.): to look through something in a casual way
e.g.
The
scroll wheel (滾輪按鈕) on a
mouse (滑鼠) helps users
browse (瀏覽) web pages efficiently.
Random
(adj.): happening, done, or chosen by chance rather than according to a plan
e.g.
The content of the
server push (服務器推送) is not
random (隨機的). Instead, they are
filtered (篩選) according to users’
preferences (偏好).
