  1. Preference (n.): a greater interest in something than something else

    e.g.
    Generally speaking (一般而言), people today have a preference (偏好) for a simple style of dressing.

  2. Hipster (n.): someone who is trendy or fashionable

    e.g.
    Ripped (破洞的) jeans were already welcome (受歡迎的) among hipsters (趕時髦的人) long before they became popular with the masses (大眾).

  3. Brand (n.): a type of product that a company makes under a particular name

    e.g.
    Uniqlo is a well-known brand (品牌) in Asia owing to (由於) the affordable (實惠的) prices and good quality of its products.

  4. Chic (adj.): stylish and fashionable

    e.g.
    Hip-hop (嘻哈音樂) performers (表演者) not only dance with cool moves (動作) but also wear chic (時髦的) outfits (服裝).

  5. Athleisure (n.): A style of clothing that people wear for doing sports or leisure use

    e.g.
    Athleisure (運動休閒風) clothes are comfortable (舒適的) and stylish (時尚的) for either going to the gym (健身房) or hanging out (閒逛) on the street.

  6. Necklace (n.): A piece of jewellery people wear around the neck

    e.g.
    On social occasions (場合), a well-designed necklace (項鏈) can help highlight (突出) a woman’s femininity (女子氣質).

  7. Accessory (n.): something that people wear to match their clothes

    e.g.
    Some people believe that headphones (耳機) and smart watches (智能手錶) are not just electronic (電子的) products, but also fashion accessories (配飾).

  8. Bracelet (n.): A piece of jewellery people wear around the wrist

    e.g.
    Jade (翡翠) bracelets (手鐲) are favoured (喜愛) by traditional women because jade symbolises (象徵) fortune (幸運) and family happiness.

  9. Trend (n.): a general direction in the way a situation is developing

    e.g.
    Influenced (影響) by Elvis Presley (貓王) and The Beatles (披頭士), bell-bottoms (喇叭褲) were a fashion trend (潮流) in the 1960s and 1970s.
