  1. Assembly (n.): A school meeting where information and activities are presented to students and teachers

    e.g.
    At the assembly (集會), the PE teacher elaborated (詳細說明) on the matters of the school's upcoming (即將到來的) sports day.

  2. Superb (adj.): something is very good indeed

    e.g.
    The girls represented (呈現) the classic (經典的) story in a sketch (幽默短劇) in class. Their superb (極佳的) performance was praised (讚美) by both the teacher and their classmates.

  3. Launch (v.): to start an important thing

    e.g.
    The president (主席) of the student union (學生會) plans to launch (發起) a social event (社交活動).

  4. Variety (n.): a number of different things

    e.g.
    The students prepared a variety (多樣) of programmes for the graduation party (畢業晚會), including duets (二重唱) and sketches (滑稽小品).

  5. Conventional (adj.): describing something that has been in use for a long time

    e.g.
    Flipped classroom (翻轉課堂) can help stimulate (激發) students' passion (熱情) for learning. Unlike conventional (傳統的) teaching and learning, it is a type of active learning where students are introduced to content at home and practise how it works at school.

  6. Technique (n.): a particular method of doing something

    e.g.
    The chemistry (化學) teacher was introducing some experimental (實驗的) techniques (技巧) to the freshmen (中學一年級新生).

  7. Organise (v.): to plan or arrange something

    e.g.
    The class teacher organised (組織) the students to visit Hong Kong Heritage Museum (香港文化博物館).

  8. Experience (n.): the knowledge or skills that you have gained

    e.g.
    The former top scorers are sharing some of their learning experience (經驗) with our current students at the alumni sharing session (校友分享會).

  9. Registration (n.): filling in your personal information on an official list

    e.g.
    According to the regulations (規章) of the school library, students need to go to the librarian (圖書館管理員) to fill in the registration (登記) form every time they borrow a book.

  10. Submit (v.): to give a document, proposal or other materials to someone in authority

    e.g.
    The students are expected to complete the assignments (作業) during the summer vacation (假期) and submit (上交) them at the beginning of the next semester (學期).
