  1. Risky (adj.): involving the possibility of something bad happening

    e.g.
    Out of curiosity (好奇心) and peer pressure (朋輩壓力), young people may indulge (沉溺) in risky (危險的) behaviours (行為) like smoking and dangerous driving.

  2. Quarrel (n.): an angry argument between people

    e.g.
    Some psychologists (心理學家) pointed out that youngsters (少年) are prone (傾向於) to lose control of their emotions and quarrel (爭吵) with their parents.

  3. Captivity (n.): the state of being kept in a space

    e.g.
    Many teenagers think that doing homework at home is a kind of captivity (囚禁).

  4. Hesitate (v.): to pause before saying or doing something because you are nervous or not sure

    e.g.
    Introverted (內向的) teenagers tend to hesitate (猶豫) to make small talk (閒聊). It is not easy for them to make new friends.
