  1. Clean-up (n.): the process of making a place clean

    e.g.
    To build a better community (社區) environment, the district councillor (區議員) organised a clean-up (清潔) operation (行動).

  2. Dump (v.): to get rid of something you do not want

    e.g.
    When visiting a country park, we should not dump (亂丟) rubbish anywhere even if (即使) we cannot find a rubbish bin.

  3. Recycling bin (n. phr.): a container for waste that can be reused after processing

    e.g.
    We should put unwanted (不需要的) waste paper, aluminium (鋁) tins (罐) and plastic bottles into recycling bins (回收箱).

  4. Sort (v.): to separate a number of things into different groups

    e.g.
    The government encouraged citizens (市民) to form the habit of sorting (分類) rubbish.

  5. Collect (v.): to bring something together from different places

    e.g.
    Some scientists like collecting (收集) electronic components (電子零件) from scrapyards (廢料場) and assembling (組裝) their inventions (發明品) with them.
