The Hundertwasser House in Vienna, Austria, is public housing for people with low incomes. In 1977, the City of Vienna asked Friedensreich Hundertwasser to design the building. It was built between 1983 and 1986.
Hundertwasser’s design is special. He likes to use curves and different colours. He also likes to bring nature and people together in his designs. All these thoughts can be seen in the Hundertwasser House. The outside of the building is painted different colours. The top of the building is covered with grass, and there are trees growing out of the windows of some of the rooms.
