不少家長期望子女在學業上成績優異,但同時間亦擔心他們承受過大的壓力。以下幾個小貼士,讓家長們更了解孩子面對考試壓力的徵狀,以及如何幫助孩子紓緩壓力:

考試壓力的徵狀:

  • 在臨近考試的日子,常為小事而哭泣
  • 飲食習慣改變 (例如:進食份量減少或增加)
  • 難以入睡或渴睡
  • 不能完成簡單的功課
  • 精神難以集中
  • 胃痛、頭痛
  • 平日做練習卷時表現良好,但考試時表現較差

紓緩壓力小貼士:

  • 家長可多反思:對子女的期望,會否帶給他們過大的壓力?
  • 除了學業外,可在子女其他方面的表現給予讚賞(例如:藝術、體育、待人接物)。
  • 不要期望自己每個子女也有相同的表現,因為各人有不同的強弱。
  • 偶爾與孩子一起溫習、做功課,讓孩子感受到你的支持。
  • 考慮做功課時間:很多家長堅持,孩子放學回家後要立刻做功課。但這未必是最好的做功課時間,因孩子於放學後或會較疲倦,因而影響做功課時的狀態。
  • 幫助孩子建立良好的生活習慣 (例如:有均衡飲食、足夠運動)
